Heading down to bald head island this weekend for a wedding hopefully gonna get out and do some surf fishing while i am there? Anyone have any ideas on best places? Practices? and general tips for the island. I am completely foreign to the island.

It is a small island so stay mobile. You should be able to find a spot with good conditions just keep moving till you find them. My favorite is the point on the shoals if the wind is cooperating. keep a casting spoon ready I have caught lots of spanish there when the bait is moving through. while waiting plenty to be caught on bottom rigs and we catch a lot of sharks there as well if you have the gear for them.
