I've always just used a regular 2 hook style bottom rig, but recently started trying the Carolina rig. I heard a lot of other people swear by it. I like it but the leader likes to "helicopter" on cast. How do keep this from happening?

I want to use it more this upcoming puppy drum run. Any helpful comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I will try the fish finder rig. Doesn't look like I'll be able to get out there this weekend though. The weather report isn't looking to good.

You can also try a cannonball rig. This allows sinker and weight to be right next to each other and avoid helicoptering. Fish finder or cannonball with reduce helicoptering.
