Is this two piece paddle for saltwater? I'm hoping the pole metal part resists corrosion.
I bought it at a Thrift Store recently for $5 bucks. I have plans for a project with it.
Looks like the shaft is black anodized aluminum, which makes it more corrosion resistant, so I think it would be fine for something that you could rinse off with fresh water after each use.
Thanks rwh. I want to take both the rubber paddle portions off the ends and permanently attach a crabbing net (the pole type) to one end and a sandflea rake (Diy type) to the other end.
With it being able to break down into 2 sections, it'll make it easy to carry when I head to the salty shoreline. And be able to give me extra reach when I click them together.
I'll be sure to rinse it off/out after each use.
Sounds like a good idea. let us know how it works out.
