I may be heading out to PLO tomorrow and I was wondering if the croakers where in. And has anybody fished the other side of causeway (Lake Conoy) last year i caught trout, spot, and croaker their so if you have fished it; whats hiting? And whats biting on the pier.

Make sure you ask for tide, bait, wind direction, and water temp too.

My buddies went there a few times for croakers and nothing there. They moved further up the bay already.

They are hit or miss right now. Try the causeway instead of the pier. Be careful on the rocks, though.

Fished them also.Skates plus the beach nothing.Everywere farther north croakers but not PLO

I kayak fish the area and have had good luck on the outgoing tides fishing rip rap with XRap lures and swim shad soft plastics- lots of school rockfish- a few nicer fish mixed in- lots of white perch- haven't seen specks yet, but they could be caught at any time- no redfish either- the cold fish kill of two years ago really decimated speck and redfish populations...I usually don't fish for croakers but catch them as a by-catch with the 3 inch swim baits...

Are you saying you kayak fish Lake Conoy or PLO?

Hes talking about Conoy,Hasnt been any reds caught since year before last.And Specs are far and between.At PLO

Depending on the rain fall surely it may be a good reds year

Lots of rain thats why nothings at PLO water to fresh.Did this a few years ago at PLO fishing stank.
