Friday we fished the North side from noon till 5. Pretty windy but fun fishing. We caught 2 short flounder, plenty small blues, 2 nice whiting and a big stingray. Fished mainly with local shrimp and then switched to cut bait from blues. Great fun fishing day, not crowded at all.

Sunday (the storm day) we got out around 10. Quite windy and heavy seas ,but the day just got better and better. Same mixed bag as before and also a short trout. Really fun day again and not crowded at all. I guess everyone was dodging the black bike week crowd lol.

That's the reason we did not come down, I saw they had 8 shootings during the 1 week event. Now why would you want to take a chance.

One year when we came down we actually hit the Harley-Davidson bike week. Even though the people were great the traffic was horrendous. So we decided to hit the week after. Didn't know about Bike Week but the traffic was much better because they concentrate to the city of Myrtle Beach and not up near the state park where we stay.

Black bike week is really only 3 days and they don't usually go south of Myrtle Beach, usually.

Big difference between them is the Harley people are much older and laidback than the demographic used to be, black bike week is much younger and they seem attract some dumbasses every year.
