I "tried" to fish on Sat. after hearing how great it's been lately. Got 6 oz. thrown back at me by the wind and the waves washed 12 oz. back onto the beach in about 2 min. I gave up after about 2 hours and went home. Going back this Sat. to try again.
I was in the area by the Ranger station b/c I don't have a 4x4.
Me and the old lady fished A.I. Saturday from around 11am to dusk, It was blowing kind of hard from the northeast all day, with a cooler full of fresh bunker had only one hit and one rock about 30" all day.It took no less than 10oz. of lead to semi hold bottom 12 oz even better but it gets to be a pain tossing that much lead and a bunker head after awhile.I will try again over the memorial holiday weekend.
