Planning to drive down from Northern Virginia to visit friends and families by the Chix Beach area (base of the CBBT) and was hoping to do a little fishing as well. Last time I was down there last November it was way too cold to fish. What can I expect to catch and what type of bait or lure would you all experts recommend?

Thanks!

I'd recommend you buy a good pair of neopreme waders and return this coming November, the Striper fishing that time of year in that spot is unreal!! I fished it until January of this year.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Unfortunately, my trip to the beach was cancelled :(

I will try again in a couple of weeks.
