Has anyone caught crabs at Matapeake or Romancoke piers?

What about shore crabbing locations on Kent island?

I was thinking about heading to this area over the weekend and was wondering if I caould catch crabs while fishing.

Any info would be appreciated.

Romancoake would be the place to crab and fish at the same time. IMHO.....I just hope you can cast pretty far. Saw a man catching some bigguns a while back.........Crabs that is.........

If you make it crabbing to Romancoke, let me know how you did. I use to go crabbing there until the mid 80's and back then, I use to walk the grass beds to pick up softshells and I always came home with a bushel from chicken necking off that pier. Last time I went and tried there was back in '95 and I didn't catch squat. There wasn't any grass in the water either. Has the grass atleast come back?
