Hi all,

Can anyone advise what size bearings replace the stock bush? It appears the ID is different from C models, based on playing with some spool shafts for each. I'd like to upgrade.

Thanks! I did a lot of hunting and looks like 3.2x10x4mm but I've only been able to find ceramics...in UK

I bought some bootleg ceramics on amazon and they definitely let the spool spin longer.

Just for general awareness:

Hybrid ceramic ball bearings used to fish in sea water still require oil. Only the balls are ceramic. The inner race, outer race, and cage (aka ball separator ) are made of 304 stainless steel.

If you are casting on the field, the hybrid bearings can be run mostly dry. The spinning ceramic balls will come in contact with the stainless steel cage. You may find it beneficial to have a minute amount of oil present. Flushing the bearings with lighter fluid (EG Ronsonol) and then letting the bearings air dry will provide a thin oil film. The lighter fluid contains a small amount of oil.
