Managed to get my limit on the Patapsco(Avalon) on Mepps spinners. Left em biting.
Was hoping to see some Browns that were part of the fall stocking. Not to be.

I generally fish panther martins when using spinners. Casting upstream and retrieving just fast enough to keep the blade turning generally works best for me. If I'm using something bulkier like a rooster tail or joes fly style spinner, I have a lot of luck fishing cross current where the fish can see the profile of the lure. I let the current carry the lure and again reel just fast enough to keep the blade turning. It takes a lot longer to cover water that way because you pretty much have to let the lure swing just right but it is very effective when you get the perfect retrieve. A lot of people fish spinners too fast and too high in the water column, in my opinion.
