Went out on the half day with the Little River Fleet today and had a good time. Fishing was better off shore though as there was only small Black Sea-Bass to be had.
This evening I caught my first "Spot Tails". I didn't keep any. The largest was 30" and the smallest was 18". I didn't raise anything else but who needed too?
After 5 years of hoping and trying, it happened. It would have been nice if Steve or Perry would have been around to share the fun with.
By the way, they went back in to fight another day.

Good job on the pups, bobmac. My wife and I went out on the LRF last year and had a blast. We were after the sea bass, but wound up catching a few gray snappers instead.

I think you said you were going home soon. Be safe in your travels.

hey Bobmac,

its common on those half day trips that you only get black sea bass. that is what lives on those close in reefs.

the longer trips are well worth the money, based on my experience. you might check some of my previous reports. I have done really well on those 13 hour trips out of captain dicks.

glad you had fun,
jerry
