Oh well, there's a first time for everything!

Anyway, other than the spanish, 2 small flounder (tagged and released) and a small blue!

Not much else happening on the outgoing!

the hooks on ur 2 hook rig were gold im guessing. them smacks will munch down a gold hook

cool! Heard of spanish on bottom rigs before but never on a sandflea in the wash.... How big was it?

It was about 10" or so!

I had something similarly weird happen at Back Bay on Friday. The small spanish were everywhere. Just behind the break they were busting bait like crazy. I had a ton of fun catching them on stingsilvers.

Lo and behold, there was actually a spanish on a 6/0 fishfinder I had a big finger mullet on. Never seen one bite a dead bait like that.

I caught one on a fishfinder rig just North of LIP about 4 or 5 years ago. :fishing:

That's crazy. I agree it must have been the hooks you were using.

Shiney hooks..... Stupid fish...... Happens alot down here.. There as dumb as bluefish when bait is thick..
