weather didn't corporate much. Had one day and caught sea mullet, bluefish and toads, kept nine fish in all will make a good mixed dinner. The wind stayed pretty strong from NE, NW and west mixed with rain and cold made for tough fishing. Last few days I couldn't loose a piece of bait. Was throwing whole shrimp on one rod and Menhaden on the other.. But overall had a good time. More sunshine would have been nice though. Had a new CTS -S7- 12' 3 to 7oz rod I tried out it throws a 5 and 6oz sinker really well. It loads smooth and is easy on the arms.

At least you did not get loaded up with a herd of dog fish that stole all your bait.
BTW if you want something different to owner of Thai moon on ocracoke will cook up your catch in any thai dish she makes or just cook it up for you simply if you want it that way.

Alexy: Thanks for the tip! One of the best meals I ever had was a small yellowfin that I caught in Turks and Caicos prepped local style by a place on the beach there. I definitively want to try that again somewhere

Hey that's an idea have her cook up some spotted dog shark and see how they taste. Thai sauces can do wonders.

Actually if you treat a dog shark like a shark and gut it right away and ice it it has a decent flavor. She did flounder pad thai and did some spicy blue fish that was awesome it was lightly fried and had a spicy chilli sauce on it that I have no idea what the name of it is.

She likes seafood so we ended up giving her a bunch of blues and she just charged menu price for the cooking. We did clean them all for her before we showed up.
