Congradulations to my good friend Rolland Johnson of Chesapeake, VA who set a new US long distance casting record in the 125 gm class event of 804.4 feet, and won the World Class event 150 gm event with a cast of 750', at a recent SportCast USA Long Distance Casting event!

Way to go Rolland!!

Lou

If I can cast that far, then I would never need a boat. Would you cast that fat using Spinning tackle???

WAT TO GO, ROLAND !!!
That is utterly fantastic ! Being a nominal surf fisherman, I have never been able to cast very far, however, far enough to reach a decent fish every once in a while. But for sure, I'd love to be able to cast like that.
Man ! I could fish dunkards hole from Bubbas !
That looks like an ambassadeur reel there. Is this writer correct in that ?
Sure would like to know, because I sell them with THAT KIND of confidence in the tackle shop where earn my fishing and running money three days a week.
Lou, we met first when you were at Va Beach Sports. I haven't been on-line for a while. But was that the reel I think it was ?
And too, what line and test was used. I'd sure like the details.

Thanks a lot, and perhaps I'll see ya' face to face on the beach
before Dec 31st.

My best...............
