Well we headed out to PLO friday night and started to fish around 9PM. We fished the left side of the pier between the last 2 light poles. Had a few hits and landed a few spots and a croaker to start with. We also managed 4 small blues 9-12" before midnight then from 12-5am it was really s-l-o-w. Only a few small croakers were caught by others on the pier that we saw after midnight. Before midnight some guy did pull in 2 15-20" trout one right after the other and like 3 blues close to 20" were caught but it was rare. Lots of crabs were out there messing with our cut spot and dancing on top of the water. Throughout the night the tide was calm. We stayed until 5am when high tide came in but nothing happening so we packed up and beat the lightning storm coming in.

The only positive thing was a nice 15" striper we land and release and those huges bloodworms from Rick's Marine. Some of those bloodworms were pushing 10" and for only $6.99 a dozen. The guy working there was really nice too and picked out the largest bag of worms from a new batch. Still have a lot of bloodworms left over so we might be heading somewhere closer to home during the week but not much success at PLO considering the long journey there :(

Wrong Way things have been like that lately. Just last week PLO was hot now a couple days later very slow. SPSP was like that last week and his hit and miss every day. At least you got out and saw the country side!
