Fished the incoming tide in the Lynnhaven around boatdocks and bridge pilings today and managed these guys on frozen sand fleas.
Circle hooks get'm every time. I don't set the hook. My rod just slams down on my kayak. Powerful hard fighting fun!

Current was absolutely ripping today. Hooked a 4th sheep but wrapped me up on structure. Ah well.. Good day

I use Oceans east bulk pack of 2/0 offset circles. For the bigger sheep I'll use 2/0 gamakatsu (stronger). Caught small tog yesterday too.
