Fished the incoming tide underneath the second bridge using peeler on 2/0 circle hooks on a fishfinder rig and landed some black sea bass, short rockfish, some black drum, and even a toadfish. When reeling in there would be these little spongy round balls on my hook - anyone know what those might be?

Took a break and packed up my stuff and fished the first bridge around sunset/start of the outgoing tide. The action was immediate and kept going; however, no keepers. Caught about a half dozen 14-16" rockfish and a some nice perch before I packed it up at 8:00 PM and headed home.

Everything was caught on peelers - I think they might be my new favorite bait to use in the bay. The guy at Rusty Hook Bait and Tackle said that the season for peelers will be ending soon, so when that happens I'm going to be bummed.
