    Holden Beach

Cheers all. Enjoy all the info and stories on here to escape the work day. Head down to Holden Beach every year and have always been pretty successful in the surf. Anyone have any tips on Lockwood Folly Inlet? We stay down in the West End (gated) and slayed the puppy and black drum when the high tide would come in and fill the pools. Try and fish while the changing. Any advice on how to tackle the inlets. Thanks again and will post reports and pics around the 13th of July. Bottoms up.

The inlet is pretty good. They have been pumping sand on the beaches so it isnt that great except high tide. If you go at low tide wade out to the sandbar and walk out as far as you can go otherwise you'll be throwing on a sandbar. High tide fills in and there is a big hole. You can see them at low tide. i caught a few decent size black drum there and also some big blues 8 to 9 lb range a year ago.
