Forum seems to be asleep, so figured I’d add my experience over the last couple weeks. Been fishing the York river at sunset every couple days. Seeing rockfish from 14” up to 21”. Fairly consistent. Usually 5 to 10 fish each outing within an hour of sunset. Typically get my keeper and share the wealth when I can. I fish the lightest jig head on a jerk shad that gets me to the bottom in current. All fish caught within a foot or two of the bottom. Good luck!

Thanks for the report. Trying to find a place for a kid to catch a striper before the season is over.

Going to try the pier at Cheatham annex this weekend. Will post later. Caught a 20 incher Tuesday evening and a few dinks during the evening hours.

Any public places that might still be holding fish? Does the public pier in Yorktown get into deep enough water?
