    Sheepshead from shore?

Anyone target sheepshead from shore around the Newport News/Hampton/Virginia Beach areas? It's on my bucket list to catch one this year and I'm running out of time.

Seen it done a long time ago at the pilings of the old Lesner Bridge. Unfortunately Seagull pier is closed. Might get lucky fishing the pilons of any pier.

    you've got time.
Rudee rocks -high tide clear water
    Rudee under bridge incoming tide
The wall VB -Incoming tide Clear water is best w Fleas or fiddlers
I've heard it was common practice at Fort Monroe back in the day. I've never done it though..
2/0 gamakatsu circles. Set it and forget it.
Be prepared for lots of snags, black sea bass and oyster toads.
    Good luck.
