Has anyone fished around Daytona Beach? The in-laws invited us to stay with them in June in Daytona this year, and I have never fished there. I'm looking for any information I can gather about where to fish, what to target, and what lures/bait to use. I am going in blind on this trip. My Dad is hounding me to find us a place to fish, so I am trying to get some information to show him a good time while we are there.
Any help is much appreciated.
Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post your spots here.
No one has any advice?
I'll be there in a little over a week and would love to get into some fish.
Sunglow pier is the longest in the area. Give them a call for conditions and advice.
Sunglow pier is good. In years past, I have fished from the river pier at Granada bridge at Ormond Beach which is close by. Go to Ponce Inlet at the south end of Daytona for surf fishing. High/low rigs with fish bites, shrimp, cut bait. Good luck.
Tried it a week ago. Mistake. It's nothing. Very short pier in my opinion. Should have gone up to Flagler Pier, twice as long. No one caught one thing whole time.
