Thank you DaBig2na. Got washers and installed. Testing in yard seems very smooth. My son had a large shark and the drag ended up rough and barking. thanks - glenn

How can Daiwa stop making theses washers when they are still building these reels?

You can still buy drag washers from the manufacturer. However the drag washers that come from smoothdrag.com are superior and in some cases cost less than oem.

If you want oem go to ereplacements.com. They are a great source for reel parts...

the felt washers are very inferior to the new carbon fiber washers, they cost 16 bucks from smooth drag, and they are much better.
