Naturally I can't find the map but last week I was looking at an online topo map site for the Freeman Park area of N. Carolina Beach. It indicated three "wrecks" between the pier and the northern tip (Snow's cut?)

The map indicated that they were just off the shoreline.

I can only assume that any structure underwater is better for fishing so are there wrecks there? Anyone know the basic history of them?

Thanks

There are some wrecks right out there but only one is close enough to cast to if it isnt buried in the sand.
It's been a long time since I fished it even in a boat.
There is the General Baueregard furhter south. It's almost out in front of the old segull b&t. It's visable at low tide. THe modern grece is further south down at Fort fisher. Both are easily casted to.

That's Carolina Beach inlet you are talking about. Snows cut is back in the waterway. Carolina Beach Bridge goes over Snows cut.

Hey Ryan, you wouldn't know the names of any of those wrecks by chance would you?
