Fished Friday afternoon 9/8 'til Sunday noon, 9/10.

Fished Avalon and Nags Head piers. Spent most of my time tossing gotcha plugs. Pretty disappointing results with just a few bluefish and sparse spanish.

I managed to catch a nice spanish which saved the trip for me. 20" to the fork.

Both Saturday and Sunday I took sandfleas down to the Bonner bridge for sheepshead. Did OK. Good quanity, but most were maybe a pound.

Kept one nice one, maybe 4 pounds.

I heard the little bridge was good for trout. Fished morning dark to sunrise with no results on Saturday.

Never saw a good spot run anywhere.

Looked like there was a bit of a pup run and decent flounder at the OI jetty. From what I saw mixed in with what I heard...

Just wondering where the OI Jetty is located. Did you fish off of the catwalk on the Bonner?

OI Jetty = Oregon Inlet Jetty.

The Bonner Bridge crosses Oregon Inlet. The sheepshead were off the catwalk, both sides.
