I read on another website that there was a possible world record cobia caught yesterday out of Pirates Cove of Manteo. Weighed in at 116.5 lbs.

That will not do it since the record has been over 130lbs for years. I dig up the exact weight later.

where's a good website to look up the IGFA world records? last time i checked you had to be a paid IGFA member to view them on their site.

[QUOTE=Digger]All tackle is.

What do you mean?

06-12-2006, 10:28 PM
All tackle is the largest fish regardless of the tackle used.
A line class record is the largest fish on a given line for example 30lb class the line can not break above 30lb test.

funny you sould use 30lb in your example.....not only is the 135+ lb.er from "down unda" the All-tackle record, it was caught on 30lb. class line. So it is also the 30lb. class record.

uncdub13....That is the only way I know of to get a look at the records...being a member of the IGFA. I hope I'm wrong and someone else will post a means.

Oh well time to go get mine:p :D :p :D
