I was setup last Tuesday afternoon about a mile south of the ramp. Found a good hole and fished 3 rods. Once again, using a frozen fish head (bluefish this time) on my shark rod, just past the second breaker. Something picked it up and made a few small runs. It felt exactly like what a 3-4' does when it hits my bait. I assumed it was a small shark. He made a few decent runs once it realized it was hooked and shook it's head a few times, but other than that I just winched it in. It wasn't until the waves brought it up on the beach that I realized it was a pretty nice drum. 44 inches long, I have no idea how much it weighed. It's my biggest drum to date. Released unharmed to fight another day.

A friend of mine said they are catching them on bald head shoals; south end. Especially on a NE wind.

Would've arrived today had it not been for Matthew. Hopefully there soon...whenever green light received. What's the time stamp for when that was last occurring if you don't mind me asking?
