While fishing at Gulf Shores, Al. Those guys talk of cutting out the throat of Red Drum, frying up, say it's good eats.

Anyone here ever heard of this or tried it?

Been eating big drum (when it was legal) small drum since I was 4or5 which makes it close to 60yrs now... Cheeks,belly meat,backbone,and the rest have done all of those,but throat?? That is a new one on me... :D

I think he is talking about the area just in front of the pec fins. (Collar)Which ain't much on a 18-27 inch keeper.

Oh My!!!! Good to know that PS recipe is still working it's magic. Haven't made the MCCs yet this year.
How bout that tater salad.....ya think it'll make a good chaser for some Drum Throats :eek::D
