Virginia anglers are blessed with waters that hold stripers, red and black drum, and cobia. Miles of fishable beaches and plenty of piers make the mouth of the Chesapeake the place where northern and southern fish meet.
went to IRI for 5 hours on saturday from 7am to 12pm.
the day started out calm with few boats driving by.
By 10am, boats were in full swing. I've lost count to how many boats were going in and out.

I'd like to build a DIY live bait bucket for the pier.
I plan to make it out of a 5 gallon plastic bucket.
Does anyone have any pics of theirs or even some tips on how they built one?
I've seen several ways to make them, and I'm just trying to get some ideas for mine.
Planning on doing some surf fishing this September in the Outer Banks. Will be my first time surf fishing and I'm not really sure on what sizes and types of hooks I should be using. I plan to just soak some bait (cut mullet, FB's, shrimp, sandfleas, etc.) in the surf on some double bottom rigs...
