As expected, the causeway was packed, but I managed to find a space. I caught by far the biggest spots so far... The spot blitz would last for about 30mins, it stops for an hr, then starts again. This went on for 3 times before I packed it in at 7:00. I only kept the large spots and released number of smaller ones (forgot how many). I ended with 14 large spots and 6 croakers. I took a walk to the pier to see what was going on and didn't see anything over the rail and there were LOTS of poles too!!! The wind was 5 to 10 so we left from Smith's Marina at Brown's Creek and went to Clements Creek and started on the left side going in. This creek has a lot of shallow spots,points,trees,rock bulk heads and drop offs,all great spots for big perch and stripers.We were using my feather spinner baits and glo-jigs with a float set about 2 ft above the jig and no bait at all. We were catching about one per cast and the perch were 8" to 12 1/4" and bigger.We were casting along the shore line and around and under the piers.It started to rain but we were catching all real nice perch and we didn't want to stop so we didn't.We caught about 300 white perch and my friend Steve said he was having a fish fry so he took home 142 real nice white perch and that 12 1/4" white perch is Steve fish.All the others we let go,So if you want to go fishing with me leave me a private message and your phone# so we can talk and go.So good luck and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS.............WOODY:fishing:

Anyone planning on going fishing? ]]> Maryland/ Delaware kmw21230 http://pierandsurf.com/fishing-forum/showthread.php?t=79661 Severn River Fishing Report August 30 2010 http://pierandsurf.com/fishing-forum/showthread.php?t=79654&goto=newpost Thu, 02 Sep 2010 05:42:25 GMT I went fishing with my good friend Everit on the Severn River at round bay and the tide was midway coming in at 6am.The wind was 5 to 10 on a bright sunny day.So we left from Smith's Marina at Brown's Creek and went to Asquith's Creek.We started on the left side going in at the flag working the shore line with my feather spinner baits.We also were working out from the shore line in the 5 to 7' range looking for the bigger perch and stripers.We work down around two piers and one boathouse and then went out off the sand bar and tried jigging.After that we started to work the front shore line that was in the shade,the perch we were catching were 8" to 11" and some were bigger that we didn't get to the boat.We work the shore line all the way down and around into Chase Creek.We work the right side going in on the creek and when we got half the way around the creek it was 4pm time to call it a day.We had a great day out and we caught about 250 white perch and my friend Everit took home 90 some real nice perch for his friends and all the others we let go.So if you want to go fishing with me leave me a private message with your phone# and we will talk and go.So good luck and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS..................WOODY:fishing:
