Smoker

Always grilled. Thinking about getting a smoker. What kind and how much?

Walmart has one that is kinda small for just under $100.00. They have a bigger one for just under $200.

If you can hold out until late Aug. early Sept. Walmart usually marks them down. We got a Texas smoker a couple of yrs ago. Reg 199 bucks and got it after markdown for 86 bucks.

Bigger is better when it comes to a smoker! I got one that will get about 4 racks of ribs or a 15lb turkey or a few nice pork butts, but now ive been smokin for a few years i wish i could fit at least a half hog up there! Its fun learning how to get everything just right, may take some time but when you get it that will be some gooood eatin!

Been smoking meat for years. Started out with an electric Brinkman, which I still have, & stepped up to a Chargriller with a side firebox 2 years ago. I've modified it so that it's only a smoker now.
Do a search for some smoking meat sites, you'll find more info & opinions about smokers than you'll know what to do with.

It's like asking folks on this forum what kind of reel is best.

Weber

Check out the Weber Smokey Mountain Series as well 18.5" and 22". I've had the 18.5 for 3 years and have been verry happy with it.
Here is a site you can look though for all kinds of info about them. www.virtualweberbullet.com

Even the Weber 22" grill can be turned into a pretty awewsome slow cooking, smoker capable, cooking system. Check out the Smokenator attachment (and riser grill for additional surface area)...
