Ft. Fisher or Freeman Park tomorrow?

Headed down for a day trip tomorrow, asking for thoughts on which area may produce more. I'm familiar with Ft. Fisher but I've never been to Freeman Park. I know there is a daily fee, the inlet on the end, and considerably less area. I'd prefer not to go to both because of the total daily fees. Given the weather and time of year does one lend itself to better fishing?

Thanks,
Ed

The weather is going to be good, temps good, low winds so I vote the Fort. More room, less crowds.

I will be coming up on Saturday morning and staying at the Sea Ranch and will fish out back from there, but I will make a trip or two to the Fort as well.

I think I'm out as far the as the Fort goes. I need a daily pass and the printable permit says the Park office hours for permit sales (Nov-Feb) are 8a-5p, Mon.-Fri. Yet the Hours of Operation page says the Park Office Hours are 8a-5p daily. So looks like I'm headed to freeman park. Hmmm.

The Fort is open 24x7 right now,,,,so you can buy the permit at 8:00 AM then fish till 8:00 AM the next day or buy another pass.
