not a great welcome home - anyone got a few words of prayer for a little girl?
Got in and unpacked last night. oldest grandson and grand daughter at the hospital with high fever. Both were sent home. About 8:00 PM, my daughter in-law calls and asks me to grab my better half and come right over.

We get there and my grand daughter is in the middle of a massive grand-mal seizure; vomiting and convulsing. Paramedics are on the way as are the boys from fire rescue. The hospital hadn't finished their job before sending the kids home. They start to transport her to the hospital and have to resuscitate her before they are out of the driveway. It turns out Amber has had a stroke and the right side of her body is useless; no movement at all. She has pneumonia and the flu, (suspected h1n1 but not right symptoms.). They drilled into her femur, (thigh bone) to get a bone marrow sample and blood. Her leg broke. She has C.P. and was holding her own till this happened. She is only 21 months old and has been through more than most adults already.

Many thanks everyone.
Amber was released from hospital last night. She is responding to medication but it will take time to find out how extensive the damage from the stroke is. The staff admitted they never expected her to make it past Thursday night. Her situation has sure added a different meaning to "one day at a time".
