    Plo 5/17-5/18

I fished the pier at PLO from 1900 to 0045

The action was almost no existent. I managed to catch a small rockfish,
    4 kingfish, and a croaker.

All fish were caught on bloodworms. I also tried squid and shrimp, but with no success.

The pier was not packed thankfully.

As for the tide, I am unsure. I never consider it when at the Bay.

From what I heard and saw the light house was yielding legal rockfish, sea trout, and Croaker.

Learn to fish the tides and you'll put more quality fish in your cooler.

Tides matter in the bay, as in any tidal waterway.
Also, the Solunar forecast is real bad this week.

X2 on that catman. I had to wait for the tide to start moving this morning for the nice size perch to bite. I must have released 25-30 small ones and also some rock fish when the tide started moving.

------Wow Pa, that is some good fishing. I go fishing even if the solunar says poor fishing. My solunar said good fishing yesterday. Are you going to stay on them good size crappie?

Andy this has been the longest spawn I have ever seen. In mid April was when we 1st started seeing males close to shore making or sitting on nest. We still seeing that now. So who knows how long they will stay in. And last night was a fair night I only brung home 5 and didn't catch my 1st keeper until around 930p. It was my cousin's turn shine 1 at 14.5 another at 12 he took home 10

I am heading back to PLO on Monday night. I'm not sure if I will fish the pier or the point, but I know Iow tide is at 1700 and high tide at 2330.

I will probably aim for 1930 to 0200 for my trip. I will let you all know how it goes.

--------That's OK, I'm going anyway. Going to meet Keven down there. He is working on his Aunt's house, and I am fishing.

Excited to hear about keeper seatrout. I've heard this year has been great for specks so far in places you don't normally see them in good numbers in the bay.
