I know about the "Hot Spots" on the menu, but I am having a tough time finding a spot to night fish at. I will be part of a bachelor party (But I'm married and have two kids), so I figure I would take the bachelor out for night fishing and stay low key when they go out to a club.

Anyway, do any of you have sugguestions on where to fish from 12:00am - 4:00am that's near a cheap hotel? Also all of tackle shops will be closed by the time we get there, so any gas stations that carry decent bait?

I am leaning towards fishing at a jetty, but if there are any 24/7 piers, that would be better. I did not find a suitable place near AC in my research. Thanks!

Hey digiRAMbo,
Unfortunately there aren't any 24/7 pier in the AC although there's members/only pier down by Ventnor City. But even better; I don't know which hotel you'd be staying, but there's a place by the bridge at Harrah's Casino where you can fish anytime. Keep in mind They're strict with parking rules over there. Here's the coordinate: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.3838627,-74.4266773,17.62z
There are other spots like the T-Jetty by the old Revel hotel as well as the Brigantine side and right now they're catching Togs over there. Other than that, undersized stripers are moving in and the Blues are soon to arrive; hopefully monster ones like last year. Let us know how it went and have a great time at the AC. They need more folks like us to spend money there :popcorn:

P.S.: You can forget about getting bait from gas stations unless you want to use old hot dogs and gummy worms as fish food :D

I think I'll have Harrah's and T-Jetty as my top picks when I go in a couple of weeks. There was a cold front for a little bit, but I think it's getting warm again. Whew.

Thank you for the suggestions, da-fish! It's too bad that I can't get green crabs to try out for togs...

Actually, there are numerous bait shops within the area and there's also Bass Pro Shop by the Outlet Mall. But I usually get my green & fiddler crabs at One Stop Bait & Tackle, which is closest to the T-Jetty. And since the tog season started on April Fool's Day, I'm sure One Stop's got them crabs.
Good luck! -da-fish

You can find parking (meter) on N. Main Ave, walk north with your pole and bait bucket past the Ocean Terrace and look for a break in the boardwalk rail. You have to climb down to the jetty. Lots of folks fishing there. When I was there in the fall, there was a cop hanging around. I think he was just having lunch and chatting with the folks fishing.

Tautog with crabs, or Snapper blues with anything shiny cranked fast works over there.

As for hotels, just a mile or so outside the city limits, you can find some cheap motels.
